Compare and Contrast
I really hope that I open up the scene and gave the character their correct proportions. The forms of the character's the original piece were not propionate to me so I added some for-shorting in places that needed and tried to even the limbs to body for scale. The color was tricky because I dint know what mood this should be. I ended up making it a bright sunny afternoon for the tone which also helped open the environment. I really like the abstract method used in this so I kept the concept by using the line and colors to created the shapes of the picture and give you an ideal of what it is meant to be. Also did my best to keep each character in the same placement as its original. Again I hope kept the scaling of distant between each character correct. I felt slightly rushed with execution and fell like more could be added, but I also feel like it met has the goal.
Pre Post Completion
So I worked on this for eight days all together and came to this point.
I think it still needs some work but I need to post this up. I like the turn out. I hope you do and please don't to give helpful input.

Hello internet, I have been working on my project. I tried to color it in oil pastel and learned that it is really difficult to keep the surface clean. I did not like it when things smeared when they shouldn't. It became too messy and beyond repair. So, I started over and use color pencils.
It is coming out allot cleaner than before. Down side of this method its taking a long time. the gras alone is taking days to work on.

Work in Progress of the Bathers
I have started on this about two days but didn't get to post it until now. I began by penciling the whole scene on bristol paper about the size of 12x18. Afterwards, I showed it to my instructor and he said, "no complaints, but it needs to bigger".
So, putting my other projects aside today, I redrew it today. It took about two and a half hours. Well, here it is.

Okay, off to color it.

Subjective and Objective of The Bathers
Hello Internet, I have been super lazy this week in posting these blogs. My bad, I just wanted to do a quick update on this project I'm working on.
So I changed my subject for the Aesthetic project from the previous post. I was working on the Red Tree by Piet Mondrian. The piece was coming along nicely but then something hit me. It did not look no different from the original for me to criticize. It is a cleaner and more brighter than it's predecessor. I will post that image later this week.
The my second choice was this.

The Bathers: Paul Cezanne, 1894-1905, oil on canvas
Subjective
When I first looked at this, the question why came to mind. Why be so hurtful to the female form? I apologize to those who like this piece, but I don't care for this one. Paul Cezanne has created many pieces with better lines, shapes, and form before and after this work. Why be so lax on this one? I don't like the forms of the characters in this image. They are unproportionate and blobby to me. Some of the characters don't even have a distinctive gender. The unpronounced for-shorting of the limbs bothers me in the legs of the woman lying down. I would like to change the forms to a more natural look, to give them feminine characteristics and accurate portions. The colors also bothered me only because it doesn't have a correct sense for the time of day. The colors are dull, but it looks as if they are bathing during the day. I think the colors should be brighter and more vivid. This way it will give the piece a natural look. Finally, the piece looks too crowded. I feel the claustrophobia in this picture. I want to open it up and give the characters more space in between them. This way you can see more of their figure and appreciate the scene.
Objective
Paul Cezanne was an impressionist and used an abstract approach to paint simple forms of every piece. This painting has more of classical style for its time. The Cezanne's artwork uses shape, and color to help create the contrast and forms of the characters and environment. The emphasis in the female characters' colors separate them from the environment.

Objective to Subjective
Hello, I started my Aesthetics Projects a little while a go because it took so long to find a piece I don't like. But I did come across to two pieces that I would like to hang in my apartment if a few improvements were made. So I will start with them.
First up is The Red Tree (Even)by Piet Mondrian.
First up is The Red Tree (Even)by Piet Mondrian.
This Piece was done in oils on canvas. Created in 1908-1910.
Subject Critique
At first look I thought this was so messy. Are the branches bleeding into the background? Where is this tree standing? The ground under it seem to be a pond but the green is suppose to suggest grass? So much form and shape went into the tree branches but not the surrounding area itself. I feel like the message could be portrait in a simple way using the colors more vividly. The colors are blotched on but I'm thinking of smoother strokes or gradient. I'm going to give the tree a more natural look. Work more around the base too so it can have the natural look. I'm going to use a simpler style to and try to not make a mess of this.
Objective Critique
This abstract uses carefully planned shape and line to over the canvas. The movement of branches across is evidences of that. There is also allot of meaning in the colors. Red is shows the anger and the blues are for the calmness of the world. The many different reds and blues that are being use in this piece. Piet's brush strokes are bold and strong. The thick lines used to create the flow through the branches. The heavy stroke create the branches and giving definite shape.

Getting Started
Hello Internet, as you see, my name is WilNashon. If you're wondering, it is pronounced as Wil-Nae-Shawn. That is important for this blog because that name will be attached to the art work I will be producing for my art classes and throughout out my career. I hope you enjoy it.
A few about myself, I love art and everything that orbits it. I even see it in cooking and clothes. I love movies and video games. Games in general is my passion. If you have not notice, I like to get straight to the point and tell it like it is.
I live in Florida, to attend Full Sail University. So far, I am enjoying it. The people are truly unique and their opinions can be easily respected. The thought process here is so homogeneous and the imagination in these people heads is out of this world.
Like I said before, this is started for my class and I never done one of these things. Please bare with me as I painfully have a try at this blogging thing. Hope you like it.
